Losing a child for any reason is beyond pain. It makes no difference whether the child was autistic or had some other illness. For the world to make it their business is unsavory and ugly. If he WAS autistic then his falling in the bathroom would have been an accident and unrelated to his illness. We have to remember the boy was 16 years old. Unless he was totally unable to be left alone which doesn't seem to be the case then going into the bathroom falling and hitting his head and not being found for hours is as you said quite possible. It could happen to anyone. Making it sound like neglect or worse is offensive.
These two parents are walking in hell right now no matter what their religious belief. I know their pain. To add to this horror by speculation and innuendo are outrageous and should stop, but it won't. My condolences to the Travolta family.
